IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We are looking forward to our ‘In the Beginning’ UK Tour during November and December 2025. We will be playing two sets – ‘The Jet Records Years’ and ‘Storytellers and Beyond’.
It is always an emotional experience playing this amazing catalogue of music to appreciative audiences, but this tour will be extra emotional.
After much soul searching, thoughts, talks and consideration of band members’ other commitments, we have made a collective decision to put KoM on indefinite hiatus as of the end of this year. Therefore, these UK shows will most likely be the final live performances of Kingdom of Madness.
I have nothing but warm memories from the past several years of KoM, not least of all having had the opportunity to play so many great songs from the Magnum catalogue with the Magnum alumni of Micky Barker, Richard Bailey and Mo Birch, as well as the outstanding musicianship of Alan Bell, Brian Badhams and Chris Dando, plus all of the other fine musicians who have performed with KoM since 2018.
We will all remain involved in music with various projects and doors remain firmly open for future collaboration, should the occasion arise, most importantly, we all remain extremely close friends.
On behalf of the entire band, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the last seven years. That includes: Agents, promoters, venues, crews and media etc, most of all we would like to thank everyone who has ever bought a ticket for a KoM show. It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to play for you all, without whom none of this would have been possible.
So, if you want to catch KoM in action one last time it would be great to see you at one of our November/December shows.
Hope to see you on the road for our ‘Last Dance’
Sincere thanks,
Mark Stanway

KINGDOM of MADNESS : “In the Beginning” tour 2025
TWO SETS – TWO ERAS: “The Jet Records Years” + “Storytellers…and beyond”

Kingdom of Madness return to the stage during 2025 with a revised live show...

The "In the Beginning" tour will feature two sets of music from distinct eras of MAGNUM's career. The band’s fondly remembered Jet Records period is featured in one set, with tracks from early albums Kingdom of Madness, Magnum II, Chase the Dragon and The Eleventh Hour, while the other set will celebrate the band’s most commercially successful period with favourites from On a Storyteller’s Night, Vigilante, Wings of Heaven and beyond.

“The best way to respect the band’s legacy and to “keep the night light burning” is to ensure that the full range of Magnum’s catalogue continues to be played.” says Mark Stanway. “Following on from our recent Legacy tour, our 2025 shows will feature a refreshed set that will delve even further, with a mix of stage favourites and deeper album tracks, including songs that have not been played live in over forty years.”

The “spirit” of Magnum lives on in the Kingdom of Madness….

Logistics and geographics have necessitated a personnel change for 2024. As always, the band's mission is to bring you top quality performances of the 1978-94 Magnum material, with a core of Magnum alumni firmly at the helm, and KOM is extremely grateful for having such a rich pool of first-rate musicians to draw from. Please join us in giving Chris a very warm welcome to the band.
KoM would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mark Pascall sincerely for his outstanding live performances over the past two years and wish him the very best for the future. As with all previous KoM members, the door remains open for future collaboration, should an opportunity present itself.
